Life Begins at 40

Camella, the Philippines’ largest homebuilder, celebrated its 40th year anniversary in 2017, and now looks forward to a new year of even bigger and better things after decades of service to the over 400,000 Filipino families it has given a home to.

As a brand that takes pride in the fact that it has fulfilled millions of dreams across multiple generations of homeowners, from fathers and mothers, to their sons and daughters, Camella’s celebration of its first year after forty this 2018 means it is only getting started.

Giving back while looking ahead

Camella welcomed the year on a positive note by giving back to its communities through the culmination of its nationwide “Merrygalo” promo. Via “Merrygalo”, the company raffled off P300,000 to a homebuyer, and gave away another P300,000 to a beneficiary chosen by the raffle winner.

The lucky homebuyer, Ms. Nympha Fontanilla, an OFW from Brunei, and her chosen beneficiary, 14 year-old Princess Audrey Avila from Caloocan, were honored and awarded last Tuesday, January 23, in an event in Crosswinds Tagaytay.

Meant to encourage customer involvement in the spirit of charity, homebuyers during the “Merrygalo” campaign were encouraged to give back to select individuals from less fortunate communities who were in dire need of financial assistance. Through Merrygalo, Camella also engaged netizens using different digital platforms via a netizen-partner promotion, exclusive to users of the brand’s social media platforms.

Camella drew the winners of its month-long nationwide promo last January 15, under the supervision of the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI).

Moving forward at 40

Giving back to its communities has remained a core value of Camella’s operations since its inception in 1977. This humanitarian thrust, coupled with a commitment to service for Filipino families, has allowed Camella to grow into the industry leader it is today. With almost half a million homes built by the brand all over the country, Camella is now set to take the next step in its evolution, on its way to providing One Million Filipino families with one million homes in the coming years.

To ensure the achievement of its goals, the chairman of Vista Land & Lifescapes himself, Manuel B. Villar, Jr. took on the reigns of the company, and set the groundwork for a strong, aggressive Camella growth strategy this 2018.  The company’s outlook for coming year includes more community developments launched, backed by a leaner, and more dynamic operations, resulting in higher operational efficiency.

“Over the past 40 years, Camella has truly achieved much – growing from a simple house and lot builder, into a top community developer and the most preferred brand in housing.” Villar said. “Today, with continued improvements instituted in all aspects of our operations, Camella marches on in its evolution towards becoming a true Filipino institution.”

From developing over a hundred communities, to providing employment for thousands of professionals, to sheltering millions and making millionaires through lifetime investments, Camella has truly made the Filipino dream come true by helping build a better nation. This brand legacy, established over the past four decades, shows no sign of stopping.

Camella is a subsidiary of Vista Land & Lifescapes, one of the Philippines’ leading integrated property developer and the largest homebuilder. To date, Camella is present in 46 provinces and in more than 130 cities and municipalities—the largest geographic reach for a property developer in the Philippines.
