Camella Rolls Out 80B Project This Year

Camella, the flagship brand of the Villar family’s Vista Land & Lifescapes Inc., is set to launch as much as P80-billion worth of projects this year as its confidence in the country’s housing sector remains unshaken.

Camella on Friday launched five projects with an aggregate market value of P5.6 billion in a bid to expand its Mega Manila portfolio and further strengthen its position as the country’s most preferred housing brand.

The new projects are Camella Verra Metro North in Valenzuela City, Camella Carson in Vista City at Daang Hari, Camella Alta Silang in Cavite, Camella Belize at The Islands in Dasmariñas (Cavite), and Camella Sierra Metro East in Antipolo.

In an interview, Vista Land chairman Manuel B. Villar Jr. said the five projects are just the first batch of many more launches this year.
“In another three months, we will be launching another five of more or less the same size. We will be launching another P5.6 billion (market value) in a few months’ time,” Villar said referring to the five upcoming projects to be launched also within the fringes of Mega Manila. “That is only for Camella South alone, this does not include yet those in the provinces. Probably this year we will be launching about P60- to P80-billion worth depending on the situation,” Villar added. Villar said Camella house and lot units are currently sold at an average of about P2.2- to P2.5-billion.

Vista Land said Camella masterplanned communities are designed to be self-contained, with lifestyle facilities like clubhouses or function halls, swimming pools, play courts, playgrounds, parks, walkways, and jogging or biking paths.
Vista Land president and chief executive Manuel Paolo Villar said that, given the bright outlook for the housing sector, the company “will continue to be a dominant force” in the market.

“We are by far the leader in the house-and-lot segment and have a strong competitive advantage given our track record of delivering quality homes for more than 35 years across the country,” he said.

With presence in 34 provinces and 76 cities and municipalities around the country, Vista Land is regarded as the real estate company with the widest geographical reach in the housing business.

The real estate firm of the Villar family saw its net income increase 13 percent to its highest level last year at P5.71 billion from P5.06 billion in 2013.
